TLDR: My story, Space Man’s Anchor, was selected as one of the winners of the Hive, Queen, and Country fiction contest.
If hard science and Victorians are your jam, you should check out the Hive, Queen, and Country RPG, as well as my story which is free to download here, alongside the other contest winners.
Maybe you’ll even learn something about lagrange points.
Here’s what else I’ve been working on:
I continue to meet with the Albuquerque Cyberscribes on a weekly basis to get feedback on my novel, which is complete, but under revision. Progress is slow but steady.
I spend a lot of time in revision. I’m revising my novel, I’m revising short stories. Silver Pod is my way of practicing creating new material. Otherwise all my writing time would be spent revising. I’m enjoying creating Silver Pod I’ve even got a few scenes planned ahead.
Another thing to look forward to is Sunrise for Souls. This is a short story I’m revising. I’m excited about it, and excited about what it could become. I’ve already submitted it and wracked up a few rejections, but after reading Stephen King’s On Writing, I realize I can make the story a lot better. Look for an announcement about this in the future.

Congratulations on having a winning piece! I’m always happy to hear about writers’ works being recognized.
Thank you. Lots of good news for me recently to help me stay motivated to keep learning, practicing, and submitting work.
